A new site for HERBS

Sandy has edited and produced HERBS for a number of years and she has done an excellent job keeping us all up to date re. the activities of the Society as well as providing ongoing information on the everchanging status of the local flora.  She has now decided to step down and Patty asked me if I would take over the production of your newsletter.  I have no publishing experience other than some blogging, so have decided to try to continue this work via this blog.  I hope that it will find favour amongst our many members.

My other blog, roncorylus, also of botanical interest, is linked to this one and a click on the link at the bottom of the right hand column will give you some idea of what this blog may look like once we get going. There is also a link to the Fernkloof website which may be of interest to anyone wanting to do some local research.

The first edition of HERBS that will be published here will be in March 2014.  If you have any views I would like to hear them.

If you press the “Follow” button on the right, then you will automatically be advised every time a new post is published.  In this way you will just as sure to receive HERBS every quarter as you ever were by email.  What is more, all the previous posts will always be available to you on this site.

My Afrikaans is ‘n bietjie sleg, maar ek sal probeer om alles te laat vertaal net soos Sandy dit gedoen het.
