Anyone who is interested in local botany and who is fairly fit should make an effort to walk the Fynbos Trail. It is arranged and hosted by Sean and Michelle Privett. Sean is an outstanding botanist and he shares the guiding with Billy Robertson, a member of Hermanus BotSoc, so many of you probably know him. I will not try to describe the walk here, but refer you instead to the report and images on my blog, roncorylus, via the attached link. Suffice it to say that the trail is very well run and extremely interesting from a fynbos perspective, since it covers such a wide variety of local floristic environments.
